Horrible, disrespectful and I am insure her qualifications are indeed to treat patients with mental health issues as during my appointment she told me “you are not “cuckoo” – I seen cuckoo people during my time at university and you are not one of them. You can walk, you can talk. You should fail first and then I can treat you.” I asked her to do tests as I was having severe cognitive issues and I was not sure of what was going on. She kept saying you don’t need anything just fail. What is that supposed to mean after I told her I was having suicidal thoughts, severely lethargic

Very disappointed! Her recommendation for depression was:
    1. She said “Stop all medication because you may not need it anymore. How will you know if you don’t try!” I have been dealing with depression for 41yrs! I have tried going off several times but had to get back on meds.I have a hormone imbalance, which started after my 2nd child was born.
    2. She recommended: swimming, going walking, being more social, Taking an exercise class, taking a healthy eating class etc.
I have tried them all, some of them twice. She said I wasn’t trying!
    3. She said she couldn’t help me because she couldn’t make a diagnosis.

Worst appointment with a human in my life, let alone a doctor. She is dangerous. The appointment made me question if she even has a medical degree. I came out of my appointment absolutely flabbergasted.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in grade 1and have been medicated ever since. My doctor is retiring and I was curious to learn about new medication options and coping techniques and skills.

The first thing this “doctor” said to me was ” you don’t look like you have ADHD, you’re dressed nicely.” Not “hello” or “nice to meet you”…just immediately, implying I’m “fine.” She then said I couldn’t have ADHD because I wasn’t late…and I told her that actually I was late and missed my bus and only made it because I had to get an Uber last minute, since I knew they would charge me if I was late, I had to find an alternative. She then said everyone is late, she was late to her own wedding (as if I care). She then asked how long I’ve had my job for and said that if I actually had ADHD I wouldn’t be able to keep a job for longer than 2 months.

The appointment just got more bizarre by the minute as she accused me of trying to be an overachiever for feeling like I’m struggling and not reaching my potential or coping well, that I can’t have ADHD because I was able to graduate from university and she only had a 2.8 GPA (not exactly something I would brag about) and now she’s a doctor.

She then said the most insane series of statements. The definition of gasligthing. ” I don’t think anything is wrong with you. You are fine. I think it is psychosomatic. It’s like my anorexic patients. They think they are the fattest people in the city. But it is all in their head. They look fine. I just need to tell them that” ….WHAT?!?!?

Then she said ” it’s the same as if you come in here and tell me that you have tuberculosis. Should I just believe you and say yes you have tuberculosis?” And I was like ” No of course not. If you think I need further testing or would like to assess me, that would be fine with me. The last time I did that I was in university” and she was like ” No need. You should stop taking your ADHD medications and try to develop your work ethic.” I’m an extremely talkative person…I was stunned silent!!!!

I’m truly not convinced that this person is a doctor! I would be shocked if she hasn’t been the cause of someone doing serious harm to themselves. Imagine if I had a more serious issue like depression or suicidal tendencies or potentially bipolar disorder.

The meeting ended with her recommending I drink more water and get more sleep. This alleged doctor is truly irresponsible and dangerous.
