• 9 March 2025Seen Dr Thompson in the Emerge. Was sent to Emerge by my family Doctor who was concerned with nerve damage in my back. I have had chronic debilitating pain in my back for years. Was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease back in 2011 which has now progressed significantly. Over the years I have done everything from meds to PT to caudal epidurals with no help in relieving pain. The pain has been damaging to my mental health and quality of life. I explained this to her. After a CT scan and a diagnosis of now 4 herniated discs with nerve pressure, Dr Thompson followed up with a letter toy Family Doctor saying she doesn’t think I need surgery. Are you serious? Excuse me Dr Thompson, but when you have lived with the chronic pain like I have for over 14 yrs then you can decide what I need. I have tried everything for relief with no prevail. How dare you. I cry everyday with the pain that I’m in and all that is left for me to try is surgery. Our healthcare system is a joke and all doctors domos put band aids on patients . I will continue to advocate for myself until I come across a real doctor who truly wants to help people .
