• 28 February 2024On the night of November 6, 2020, I was taken to the ER by ambulance due to becoming paralyzed as a result of spinal infection. The attending ER doctor recommended an immediate MRI. As I waited for the MRI, Dr. Chantel Barrett, a neurologist, cancelled my MRI because she was certain that I had Barre Guillain Syndrome (BGS). Despite showing no symptoms related to BGS and other physicians questioning her conclusions, Dr. Chantel Barrett refused to change her diagnosis. Finally, after 36 hours, I was able to get an MRI, which showed a massive infection in my spine. I am now a C6-C7 quadriplegic. Had I been diagnosed correctly; I would have had a chance of recovering. Dr. Chantel Barrett should not be allowed to practice medicine. She takes incompetence to a whole new level.
