• 13 November 2024Dr Fernandes lacks bedside manners and treats patients like they’re specimen, instead of people. He did not explain what he was doing when he was doing it, nor did he inform me of his expectations of me (like not to swallow). So when I unknowingly swallowed, he frustratingly told me not to do that. He cut off his radiologist when she was speaking to me, and when the procedure was over, instead of asking me directly if I was okay, he asked his radiologist if I was okay. I would highly recommend Dr. Fernandes refresh himself on compassion, humanity, and how to appropriately support patients undergoing procedures.
