• 24 August 2023Dr. Leicht is an amazing doctor. She pinpoints exactly you diagnosis and recommends treatment suitable for it. She makes it very clear to her patients that she is no longer a counselling psychiatrist, she specializes in neuroscience. She suggests psychologists for talk therapy. She changed my diagnosis from BPD To CPTSD. And she is an expert in CPTSD. She said BPD suggests that people are inherently bad, and she didn’t like that. Healthcare in psychiatry has changed significantly in this province because of severe budget cuts. This has changed the way practitioners provide care for which Dr. Leicht cannot be blamed. She worked at Alberta Hospital during COVID-19 making sure her patients got the care they needed, She is a very caring and knowledgeable psychiatrist, she went to University for year’s and went through a gruelling residency. That’s why she can diagnose people as quickly as she can. Dr. Leicht is practicing cutting edge modalities that surpass traditional therapies to get people off medications. If she does prescribe medications, it’s too improve your mental health. I am very happy with Dr. Leicht, she is the first psychiatrist who took my trauma seriously. She didn’t associate who I am to my illnesses. I think she’s excellent.
