Dr. Bhanot, You did an assessment on me in Kitchener on Dec.15.For my back which is fused in 3 places .At that time you told me that returning to a heavy physical job would cause strain on my otherback bones.After u left that day Natalia gave me a form with your signature.Stating that i had full ability climbing a ladder and lifting over 20 kgs over my head and off the ground.in Jan i had another assessment at that time i could not climb a ladder .i was limited to 5kg lifting off the floor.In feb i seen my back surgeon at that time he stated that my back was restricted use,far different then full ability.Wsib had me enrolled in a computer course.at that time i was siting in a chair for a few hrs.witch caused me neck and back.feeling better now.but in the assessment it says full ability.mr family doctor could not believe the extreme differances in assessment.

My mother was admitted to grand river hospital on a Friday for extreme and debilitating pain…and after a quick mri we were told she has a tarlov cyst which requires surgery and that she was being sent to Hamilton because they didn’t have a surgeon available in Waterloo. The following day Dr Macleod came into her room and began preparing her to be sent home. He told her he’d send her with oxy and anti inflammatory meds. We asked if that was safe for her given that she’s had two heart attacks and we’ve always been told anti inflammatory meds can spike blood pressure. We also asked why the surgery had been cancelled. He said “I’m not speaking to you” and left her room. For the next 5 days they gave her incorrect meds, and kept trying to coerce her to accept discharge while refusing to give any explanation or allow us to see a doctor. After 5 days of suffering and being terrified that they would kick her out, Dr Kunar Bhanot finally shows up and tells her there’s no treatment, he can inject pain meds in her spine and send her home. She is confused and scared and is being bullied into accepting his offer. He was asked repeatedly if this could risk further and permanently damaging the nerves in her spine and he refused to answer while insisting on this course of action. This is completely unacceptable and I have no idea how these people can be so cruel to an elderly women in extreme pain. This is not health care and these people should be ashamed.

Thank you to Dr K Bhanot for firstly seeing my dad on such short notice and doing his surgery so quick. Dr Bhanot exceeded beyond anything I had ever imagined and made us feel safe and secure. He was very approachable and made me feel very good about my dads health. He took the time to talk to me himself several times and came to grand river hospital to assess my dad and also taking the time once again to meet with us . Dr Bhanot thank you so much and it was a pleasure having you for my dad.
