• 8 November 2023she didn’t catch that i had ptsd and prescribed benzos for ‘anxiety’- (flashbacks) with laxity that initiated a full blown addiction. a full trauma assessment should be done before medicating for disorders that are lower on the diagnostic hierarchy- i.e. borderline personality, generalized anxiety, adhd, which i was misdiagnosed with by dr. santiago. she is warm and well meaning, but often late, and didn’t seem to be able to understand what was fully going on. i did enjoy the fidget toys in her office

• 21 November 2023After 3 weeks of back and forth with her office, during which time we were assured that she was accepting new patients with a short wait time, she rejected a physician’s referral based on the implication that the patient’s needs were too high. So after a wasted 3 weeks, a family in desperate need has to start over. We were looking for a second opinion on assessment/medication/treatment options, not a solution to all of our problems. But apparently this was too strenuous a request for this psychiatrist.
