I went to emergency for extreme pain from kidney stone. Dr. Saahil Vij treatment of me was cruel and inhumane to say the least. He left me to suffer doubled over in pain without giving me anything for the pain even after I asked politely for something to ease the pain while I waited for the CT scan. He said he would but never returned. My husband asked again later and he said he would after the CT scan. Luckily I very nice doctor passed us in the hall and realizing the extreme pain I was in went and got and IV and administered the pain meds. He came back again a few minutes later to see if they were working but unfortunately they were not so he brought something stronger. Again he came back to check and it did work this time. Dr. Saahil Vij came to give me the results of the scan and planned to send me home and told to take Tylenol for the pain. SERIOUSLY! I pushed for something stronger so as not to end up back in the ER. This is my 4th kidney stone and all three previous times I was given liquid and pain killers through the IV and I passed the stone before I left the hospital. When I mention this to Dr Vij his comment was that there is no evidence that that protocol works. I’m sorry but it worked for me. He also said he didn’t want to prescribe a strong pain killer for someone my age because I might get dizzy and fall. SERIOUSLY! I ski black Diamond runs out west walk the golf course and walk at least 1 hour a day. I can’t believe such “ageism”.

Terrible doctor !!! My 18 year old daughter went to emergency with severe headaches and dizziness and was throwing up . She was in agony . Dr.Sahill didnt nothing to treat her pain and it was just getting worse ,she even stated that the pain was 10/10 ,I cant believe that a hospital such as Sunnybrooke which is considered to be one of the best hospitals has a ER doctor that does not treat patients and send them home with no treatment or diagnoses, to me that is negligence!! I am appalled! I even stated that Tynenol and Advils are not working and asked if a MRI can be done to rule anything out , but Dr.Sahill said she had one done 2 years ago and there is no need to do another . Long story short my daughter has an ear infection that was causing her to have migraines , she never suffered migraines before , all she needed was antibiotics and pain killers for the pain . If a ER doctor especially at Sunnybrook can’t make a simple diagnosis regarding a bad ear infection then Dr.Sahill should not be practicing medicine. He is a rude arrogant human that disregards human care , very inhuman! Shame on you!

As you can probably tell by the other poor ratings and reviews… this doctor is an absolute joke to the healthcare system. I had been to emerge with severe pelvic pain two times, and on my third visit decided to try a different hospital, this is where I was seen by “dr” vij. I had spoken previously to a receptionist who told me to try emerge again and this time ask to see a general surgeon, as they’re always required to have one, and to ask the surgeon about the pain I’d been experiencing, as it’s in the area of a previous pelvic surgery I had.

When dr vij walked in, I asked him if he was a surgeon, to which he told me no. I asked if I could speak to one, and immediately I could tell this shattered his arrogant ego.
(Needless to say, I didn’t see a surgeon to talk with that evening thanks to this waste of medical education).

I’d explained that I had previous scans done and I had concerns, that nobody was helping and that my pain was (and continues to be i might add) severe. He told me to take Advil and that was it.

Now I keep track of all my medical images, notes, appointments, etc. this **** literally wrote on my notes that I had “illness anxiety” & that I was not a radiologist..

It’s been over a month now and I’m STILL experiencing pelvic pain, with NO diagnoses. There id an extreme issue with our healthcare system.. and doctors like this are only adding to the problem.

I believe he’s sexist.. as based off the other reviews, those poor patients were also females.. also denied proper care… and also told to simply “take Advil”. Oh yes, and arrogant.

If you get this sad excuse for a doctor.. be sure not to shatter his ego, not be a female, and if you are.. run for the hills cause he won’t be of any help to you. All you’ll get out of him is being gaslighted.
