Awful Doctor. Awful experience. She said I had to search for my own orthopedic surgeons. How is someone in pain, with no knowledge of doctors and specialities, supposed to do this? We go to doctors for care and help. She got tired of me requesting referrals looking for a surgeon for my frozen shoulder. The last time I asked her receptionist to book an appointment for me about another referral, the receptionist never called back, and the doctor never called me back. This was over 3 months ago. I get that this is a time of a pandemic, but you are a doctor, you took an oath. The receptionist is just as terrible. Doesn’t do what she says she is going to do. Mixed up my appointment date, i showed up after driving an hour for my booked appointment,
and then was told she doesn’t work on Saturdays, made me wait 45 min and then was told the dr samina hassan would call me instead. These other reviews raving about this doctor are likely fraudulent and misleading, and most likely from people who are friends or family. Even if you are in extreme pain, don’t waste your time seeing this Dr, you’re better off in your own pain that have to deal with a doctor who doesn’t care. She says she doesn’t go into the clinic and she doesn’t give steroid injections. I’m sorry, but how do you assess a frozen shoulder and how do you try to treat it without seeing the patient? I have since seen a better, more caring, and responsible rheumatologist in brampton, in person, and even at the height of the pandemic. Thank God that there are still doctors out there who take their oath and live by it, they provide the care and treatment that patients so desperately need.

Dr. Hassan is extremely polite & welcoming, she’s super informative and allows you to voice your concerns. I really believe she is going to get to the bottom of my current health issues.

Dr. Samina Hassan seems like a compassionate and caring Dr. Her practice is new to the area, so give her some time to figure out her groove in our health care system that is very different than when she was in the US. My first appointment was so-so, but I am glad I stuck it out and continued to see her for diagnoses and treatment of autoimmune diseases. Each and every appointment, she gains more details and knowledge of my conditions and tweaks her plan for the short term and the long term. She thinks outside the box and does not simply follow the medical textbook criteria – as she knows some patients present differently. She did not dismiss me like other Dr’s and for that I am grateful and hope she can continue to get me feeling better!

I had a similar experience to the recent post review on this doctor, her staff is disorganized and do not listen to what you have to say. They treat you as if you are a nuisance. Messages never get to the doctor and they promise to call you back but never do.

I went to Dr Samina Hassan’s Milton office. Got a strong reaction to the medication she prescribed and the ER doctor told me to stop taking it and contact Doctor Hassan right away to tell me how to phase it out. I kept calling the office for a week and the receptionist kept telling me Doctor Hassan will call me back but she did not. I got a strong reaction from suddenly stopping a steroid that lasted for over a month. I have since sought a second opinion. They pointed me in the right direction and I got the right diagnosis. I was disappointed and very shaken by the whole experience.
