Dr. Gowing was my thoracic surgeon when they found lung cancer in my right lung. He quickly done a lobectomy. His kindness and upbeat personality kept me comfortable and I didn’t worry about anything. He is very thorough on explaining everything and honest.

Dr. Gowing killed my eldest son through his negligence and desire to clear hospital beds. He doesn’t return phone calls and doesn’t seem to have the basic understanding of the complications that arise from the surgeries he performs. 5 days after discharge, which according to the nurses, residents and ICU staff was MONTHS too early, I awoke to see my son dead on the floor. 2 days before they started his release plan, they asked to move him to a more remote hospital, but not the one in our hometown because it couldn’t meet his needs. Dr. Gowing promised my family that he would take good care of my mother. She was diagnosed with early stage esophagus cancer, and after surgery she would be cancer free. During her routine surgery he cut the main artery to liver, which ultimately cut off a blood circulation to all of her other organs. No one knew this had happened during her first surgery. It wasn’t until the next day day when she was bleeding internally that they rushed her for a second surgery to find the problem. Other surgeons were called to try and save her. Most of her organs were removed because they had no blood to them. My mother died 4 days later in ICU of organ failure. NOT EVEN CANCER. She was 66 years old.

Mr Gowing did surgery on my father september 2022, esophageal cancer, he dropped staple in my dads stomach and proceeded with cutting his back open to take the staple out, 60 stitches that required, after surgery he didnt even follow up with my father how he was doing, Dr Gowings license should be revoked, i did proceed with a lawsuit but i was suggested he will only be required to do more training and no punishment, i am suggesting deeply to consider other doctors, if i could rewind the time back, i would.
