• 4 May 2021Dr. Bredencamp is rude, arrogant, cruel and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. I warn you to never seek medical attention from this terrible, insensitive and judgemental person. He did not introduce himself when I sought help from him. He spoke sharply, rapidly, rudely, and loudly. I was in extreme pain, and was curled in a ball with pain when he entered the room. I could not respond quickly or with great clarity. His bedside manner was to shout at me, “Look at me! In my eyes! ” He shouted the same questions over and over. I realized he was not going to help me rule out if my pain was the result of a pinched nerve, or a stroke, or extreme stress. He did not care. He did not inquire. His approach was irrational, hysterical, illogical and insensitive. I have never been treated that way in my life by anyone, but especially not by a medical professional. When I said I was leaving because I did not want to be spoken to like that, he said “Good!” And promptly left the exam room. I am entirely bewildered what would prompt a medical professional to behave in such an unprofessional manner with absolute wonton disregard for a patient’s well being. Terrible, horrible person. Avoid like the plague.

• 19 October 2022I had a lovely interaction with Dr Bredenkamp while at the urgent care in Shumir. Some may not appreciate his joking manner, but it quickly eased me into a rapport with him and made me feel comfortable for my visit. He took the time to also do a strep throat test done even though that was unrelated to the reason I was there. I’m used to any doctor I see being “1 issue at a time” kind of attitude, so the fact that he did this test for me even though it was unrelated to my visit made me feel astonished.

• 7 January 2024Emergency at Sheldon M. Chumir January 2024 – Dr. Bredenkamp was my attending physician. He was awesome. Loved his sense of humour, I felt completely at ease as he spoke in layman’s terms so I was clear on my prognosis. He took quick action to get me to South Campus for surgery. I would choose him as my GP any day………..no nonsense and gets to the point.
