Talks a good game initially, but absolutely NO follow up, no diagnosis on patient’s with obvious neurodegenerative disease. Does not use newer technology like DaTscan as a diagnostic tool.

Dr. did administer neurophysiological tests…blessed test, STMS, MMSE for dementia and tests revealed abnormalities. Then neuroimaging in the form of MRI to diagnose
vascular disease, normal pressure hydrocephalus, tumors, abscess, or subdural hematoma was undertaken; however, the yield from neuroimaging in identifying a potentially reversible cause of dementia is low and thus, revealed a normal MRI. Dr. Shytbel ended any neurological followup at this point, even though patient continues to have fluctuating cognitive function, tremor, autonomic cardiovascular process associated with dementia, inflammatory disease associated with dementia. Absolutely no metabolic testing was done, i.e., fasting insulin, hemoglobin A1c, fasting glucose, TSH, B12, vitamin D, testosterone, etc. Absolutely no referral for genetic testing of APOE, APP, PSEN 1 and 2, GBA and SNCA and thus, it seems this neurologist is an absolute failure in potentiating any diagnosis for neurodegenerative disease whether it be physiologic or metabolic.
