One review of “Dr Kun Huang”

    3 June 2022

Honestly, I had really high hopes coming into this appointment that I would be a step closer to a normal life, to treatment, to a diagnosis, and I left crying and hyperventilating with no answers. She was very dismissive, wouldn’t read my notes with all my symptoms and didn’t look at all the photos I had of rashes etc. suggested I go to a dermatologist. She told me she could not help me, that I had fibromyalgia (without doing any further testing to rule anything out), as she said that “only 30% of people with a positive ANA have anything autoimmune going on”. 30% is a large number. She did no further testing, and cut me off when I tried to talk about my symptoms I felt completely ignored as a patient. She also mentioned that a lot of my pain is probably related to my mental health. I felt medically gaslit the entire time I was there, which was a short period of around 10 minutes. 9 years of waiting in pain for someone to take me seriously, and all I got was 10 of the worst minutes of my life. I wanted to say something but as I had been cut off so many times and wasn’t being listened to, all I could do was cry under my mask, silently. If you are suffering and in desperate need of help, I don’t recommend going to Fraser South Rheumatology in Surrey.
