• 18 February 2022Very impressed with the care and service provided at Cornwall Hospital ER yesterday for my 21-year-old son who after covid a year ago now suffers with Barrett’s Esophagus.
After dealing with a local specialist who brushed off his symptoms and made him stress more as he wasn’t taken seriously and still not eating or feeling well. He finally went to the ER.
Thank you to Dr Westergaard for taking the time to actually explain to him what is going on, what is wrong, what is next and that if one option doesn’t work you have other options for him.
Thank you and involving the team speech therapists, dietitian, to all the nurses working shifts last night to today for taking him seriously when he went in about his symptoms.
Turns out he was malnourished as he couldn’t keep any food down had issues swallowing anything, losing more weight.
We now have some answers, he is less stressed, and thanks to you and your team at Cornwall Hospital we will await surgery he needs and be understood with his condition with a brighter outcome. Thanks for a MOM who will always be a MOM no matter how old her children get.
