• 29 July 2021What a TERRIBLE clinic! My sister had a horrific experience at this clinic today with Dr. Larry Cheung. She left her appointment very upset and recommended expensive treatments for hair thinning (she’s a teenager) and told her she has stage 1 and it’s only going to get worse?!?!?! I am astonished by the lack of professionalism he showed. HE PITIED HER and told her she just was “unlucky and had bad genes.” AND instead of answering her questions – he walked out of the appointment!
Please avoid this clinic and parents/caregivers, do not send your children alone! This appointment was a huge blow to her self-esteem and I am in utter disbelief this happened. Clearly this Dermatologist doesn’t actually care about helping patients and probably ended up in the profession as a money grab…
Ps. This is the EXACT photo he showed her!

• 11 July 2022In November 2019 I was referred to Dr. Larry Cheung for a spot on my nose. I have had several actinic keratosis in the same area. Dr. Cheung made me feel like a kid talking out of turn in school when I mentioned that I thought this was a new keratosis. He was very condescending. He said it was rosacea and sent me off with a prescription for a cream. I dutifully applied the cream but eventually the spot began to weep and bleed and it became clear that it was indeed a keratosis. This happened during Covid when doctors were not seeing patients.
Eventually I was able to see my doctor who tried to freeze the tissue. It didn’t work and I was referred to another dermatologist who also tried to freeze the spot. No luck. A biopsy was done and revealed basal cell carcinoma. The area would have to be excised. By the time I saw a surgeon, the spot had grown. My face required a 1.5 hour reconstructive surgery after the area was excised. I am writing this with my face stitched up from the corner of my mouth to the skin graft on my nose thanks to Dr, Cheung’s misdiagnosis and his arrogant and belittling manner. If you value your skin, go elsewhere.

• 15 June 2023Worst specialty visit I’ve ever had since I got here in Canada. I was referred to Dr. Cheung by my family physician for my skin condition. The consult was so rushed he even got up before asking questions for full diagnosis I have to talk the him while he’s almost out the door. He just confirmed what my FD said. What’s the point seeing a special. He just rambled on saying it’s gonna be forever, nothing we can do to improve it unless I change my job.
