• 3 March 2023Absolutely awful physician. Saw her in emergency and was shunned after asking relevant questions to my condition, and had her pretending not to hear me. You can tell she either has no passion for her job, no motivation to treat all patients with the same respect, or is only there for the status and social scene associated with being a doctor. After leaving I submitted a student medical absence form, which is basically a form stating I was unable to perform academic responsibilities on account of the illness, and she wrote down on it that my condition has essentially summed up to nothing. For the record, I had a bad ear infection at the state of discharge and was not yet responding to painkillers. I told her that I had never experienced pain like this before, and still, I’m left with this note. I don’t know if was spite, some resentment, or if she wasn’t ‘buying’ the pain I was feeling (despite diagnosing the condition), that was responsible for her lack of empathy. Regardless, she isn’t supposed to play cop, and I don’t think upholding her moral responsibilities as a doctor with more diligence is an unfair request to make. Awful person and I hope she reads this message so she feels the same way that she made me feel.
