• 7 October 2023After being diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma at the esophagus/stomach junction my wife and I searched for the surgeon who was highly trained and experienced with this type of cancer especially following 2 months of daily radiation and chemo. Dr. Blitz was true to his reputation and his word to remove whatever was left behind after treatment. It was harder on him and his team due to scar tissue from previous surgeries. This year at Thanksgiving it is 2 years and 2 months to the day, still no metastasis or growth. So this year Dr. Blitz and his team are what I and my family are so very thankful for, Kelowna Thoracics’ you saved my life, thanks for the 2nd chance, it’s a daily struggle but that’s ok, without your skill and caring I wouldn’t be here at all.❤️🙏
