After a mental health crisis in November 2023 I was seen at Wiarton ER and referred to Psychiatry in Owen Sound. It took 8.5 months to get an appointment and I was initially seen in Mid July 2024 by Dr. Ugwu. At that time when he asked if I was losing weight, still prescribed Wellbutrin XL 450 mg. After 4 weeks I had lost an additional 15 pounds at which point he reduced the wellbutrin back to 300 MG and added citalopram 20 MG, even though I had a severe reaction to it and it was discontinued in May 2023. After 2 weeks I was experiencing severe tremors and myoclonus again and called his office for an earlier appt than Sept. 26 because we were moving out of the area October 3 and I was unable to drive in that condition. No one returned my calls until Sept. 20 when I was notified of a cancellation that day, which I took. He discontinued the citalopram again and reduced the wellbutrin to 150 MG. He gave me a pamphlet with a number to call to get a caseworker in Norfolk County but when I called I was told that they couldn’t do that. He said he would call me Sept. 26 to follow up. He did not call. I left 2 messages Sept. 27 explaining that I needed a medication review before moving October 3 but did not receive a call back. I am now left with zero support and have no idea how to proceed and trying to deal with the extra stress of moving.
