• 6 August 2024Upon first meeting with him he said I would need a scan of my ear canal .He also gave conflicting information. He first stated I had zero hearing in the one ear. Then he stated I had 20% hearing in the same ear. So which is it??
He stated that there was a 99.7% chance that there was nothing to find . So in this day and age why would anyone need a procedure when people are waiting for limited services. I know why it is a clear example of over billing the system.
ON a side note it is virtually impossible to get anyone on the phone in his office. Safe to say I am not interested in any
Doctor that is over billing the system, because it effects everyone in wait times and services.

Doctors do not make money from ordering scans in Ontario
if a specialist orders a scan- they have to take extra time to review the scan are are responsible for the result – but cannot bill for the time spent doing that. Therefore they are actually losing money by ordering scans on you.
you should follow up with the doctor for clarification.
