Concerned friend
• 26 August 2022If you like to wait excessively long periods of time and really put your patience to the test this is the place for you. My friend booked an appt with him over zoom, waited 45 minutes for him to rebook her in office. Then in office she waited over half an hour before leaving without seeing him. For mental health, this is not the way to treat people. It seems as though he only values his own time. He used the excuse of an emergency, but as soon as she left was available that second to call her. If you care about your mental health, find someone who cares about it to.

• 26 February 2023He’s alright for what he does. He might have issues with communication if you use a different word with the same-ish meaning for something, and does have issues being late for things, but he does honestly seem willing to play ball with your treatment and genuinely does seem to care as much as any psychiatrist could. I know for myself he is willing to take time letting me adjust to my meds, rather then some other professionals I’ve seen try and speed run through different medications. Could he be better? Yes. Is he the worst? Absolutely not.
WTF WAS THAT
• 13 March 2023This guy was so weird to me. He always seemed to think he knew what was going on in my head better than I did, whenever I told him something that conflicted with whatever DSM preconception he had. He poured over my files and would bring up observations doctors had made a decade before when I was a teenager, as if they were some kind of “gotcha” to whatever I was saying. Very strange dynamic. It was clear when he was incredulous because he would ask me the same thing multiple times. For example, he kept asking if I had brain damage. He wanted me to get a brain scan. Eventually I shut him up by pointing out that my sibling had all the same problems and was even worse off than me, and we didn’t endure any brain trauma together, so genetics were explanation enough. Just bad vibes all around. Later I read my medical file and found out he diagnosed me with a substance use disorder and didn’t even tell me. I didn’t have a substance use issue, the guy just hated weed. But to be fair, I suspect that once he finally accepted I didn’t have brain damage, he pivoted to believing I was high for every appointment. Sorry to speculate, but the whole thing was too weird not to. I just have extreme social anxiety that eliminates my critical thinking and ability to communicate well, and I’m also neurodivergent! There’s your explanation.

• 16 March 2023i think he is going to be a great phychiatrist i have s feeling he is going to rid me of a misdiagnosis that a previous phychiatrist had given me and use his own set of skills to set it all right and rid me of this terrible burden and very irrelevant label from the last guy
