I can’t believe this psychiatrist is the head of penticton psychiatry! He is dismissive, comes into the office with his own agenda, and doesn’t listen fully to your concerns. He directs the narrative and doesn’t provide educated professional care. He had the gaul to diagnose me with another disorder (BPD) and NEVER told me about his new diagnosis until I read it on my own in some medical reports months later! Can you imagine the lack of professionalism?! When I questioned how I could have this “new” random diagnosis out of the blue after having been treated by multiple psychiatrists in the health care system over 20 + years (inital Dx: major depressive disorder), he was complacent and indiffrent. I actually ended up paying for a second opinion, as I didn’t trust his compatency, as he had only met with me a few times prior to this new diagnosis. Thus, with a new detailed assessment and data from a second doctor, it was deemed I did not have BPD! I provided him with my second opinion, and he called it “unprofessional” and said the data “didn’t make sense.” Luckily, I have now ensured this second opinion is now in my health records to discredit his halfhearted attempt to pigeonhole another patient with his cookie cutter mindset.
